Geocache Description:

Located next to the Ancient West Baray Lake a couple of kilometres west of Angkor Wat.

For information, this cache is not in the official Angkor Park, so you don't need to buy a ticket for Angkor Wat, when you search this one out.
The cache is hidden next to the West Baray (pronounced buh-rye), and is near to an abandoned ruined minor temple.
The old temple is in a dip, just off the track which runs the entire way around the W. Baray lake (near the airport where I work).
Be careful when you try to reach the temple, as there is no real path, apart from climbing down the 20 foot bank from the road (track).
When you reach the temple site, you aren't finished yet!
Because of the natural Muggle nature of the local people, I hid the cache in the nearby wooded area.
You'll have to zoom in your GPS, and follow the path through the trees.
Enter the wooded area in the far top left corner and follow the path for about 25 metres.
There is a fork in the path where the track to the right is the one you want, down a bit of a dip.
There's a tree root with a large flat stone under it.
When you are in the right area, look for a flat stone about 10 inches across, at the base of a tree.
Lift it up mto reveal your prize.
When you've completed the (tiny) log, please be very careful when you put it back, and as I did, scatter some soil/leaves around the rock to make it look more natural.
Have fun, and keep an eye out for more of my caches to follow!
