This is always a good spot to stop
and take a rest while hiking through Sycamore Canyon. There is a
large stand of dormant poison oak stalks just west of here, so be
careful.
The Team Dakiba's "Mighthy Pair"
cache used to be across the road. (Major hint). I remember it
taking about a half hour to find it because of the whacky way your
GPSr spins around at this particular location. Also, because of
Dana's reputation, I was thrown off by the cache name. After all,
at the time, there was a pair of "Porto pottys", a pair of bear
proof trash receptacles, a pair of picnic tables. It turns out that
he spelled it wrong. (Or did he?) On later hikes, I remember
walking by about six more times and simply looking over and seeing
this great cache. Then, one day, it was gone. It was a great cache,
and I have duplicated it at least twice.
Oh, By the way, your reader will
always be 40-60 feet off. Read the hints, read the logs, and stay
out of the Poison Oak.
