Strom hrdina / Hero Tree
Na uvodnich souradnicich najdete zbytky mohutneho buku. Byl to tzv. Cisarsky buk. Turisticky pruvodce „Decinsko“, vydany nakladatelstvim Olympia v r. 1984, o nem uvadi: „V nadmorske vysce 630 m roste chraneny prir. vytvor zv. Cisarsky buk, ojedinely exemplar buku lesniho, stari pres 200 let, vyska 16 m, obvod v prsni vysi 306 cm.“ Na první fotografii ze srpna 1988 je tento strom jiz suchy.
Vasim cilem je ale JINY STROM, dub „hrdina“, ktery je jiz mnoho let suchy, jenom jedna vetev je vyzivovana pruhem kury. Z mista vychozich souradnic je tento dub dobre viditelny. Najdete jej podle fotografie z r. 1999, protoze od te doby vypada stale stejne. Pokud neni tma nebo mlha, neni zadny problem strom poznat, testoval jsem to na 10-ti letem vnukovi. Vzdalenost ke stromu je asi 250 m.
Cache je umistena u paty silneho buku, ktery stoji vedle dubu „hrdiny“.
Tato cache byla zalozena v r. 2010, pri prilezitosti eventu 10-10-10, muzete tedy sledovat jak dlouho jeste strom vydrzi. Poprejte mu dlouhy zivot, nemusite se k nemu prilis priblizovat a tim mu skodit.
Od stromu je hezky vyhled, v prihodnem pocasi doporucuji si zde dat svacinku v trave, lepsi je ovsem posezeni u cache Piknik cache 2 (GC1PN1Y).

Kdyz od cache prejdete asi 130 m JV, naleznete na okraji lesa zcela novou lavicku, ktera krome posezeni nabizi krasny vyhled na Ceske Stredohori.

Strom hrdina již delší dobu nestojí, zchátral a spadl, proto cache podle něj nelze nalézt. Neruším jí ale, protože je z místa jejího ukrytí pěkný výhled. Přidávám fotografii místa, kde dříve stával, je na ní i vedlejší buk, pod kterým je cache ukrytá.
V oblasti Sněžníku jsou ještě zajímavé dva exempláře dubu letního. Najdete je při lesní silničce cyklistického okruhu. Upozorňují na ně tabulky.
Hero Tree
The initial coordinates will show you the remains of a robust beech tree. It was a significant tree, 200 years old, 16 m high, 306 cm circumference. The first photograph was taken at august 1988, when the tree was already without life.
You have to find another interesting oak tree with only one living branch. You will see it from the initial place, if there is no fog or dark. Use the second photograph from the year 1999, the tree looks the same all the time. It works, it was tested. The distance is about 250 m. The cache is placed at the root of a mighty beech tree beside the hero tree. There is a nice view from the place, I recommend to take a small picnic here.

There is a brand new bench about 130 m SE from the Hero Tree cache. It is placed at the forest edge. There is a nice view in the south direction to Ceske Stredohori at this place.

The Hero tree has not been standing for a long time, it has fallen into disrepair and the cache is therefore not found. But I don't archive it, because there is a nice view from its hiding place. I am adding a photo of the place where it used to stand, there is also a beech on it, under which the cache is hidden.
