This multistage cache will take you on a pleasant walk around the village of Ufford. You firstly have to find two sets of clues, which take you to a microcache with the coordinates of the final cache site. The walk to the cache is just under a mile.

Parking is available at the village hall just past the church (N52° 07.233 E001° 21.394) or in front of the church where the first clues can be found (N52° 07.212 E001° 21.346).

Ufford is situated on the banks of the River Deben, approximately 3 miles from Woodbridge. It gets its name from the ford of Uffa, a Saxon chief. St Mary’s church was built in the 12th century. It contains a magnificent ornately carved font cover towering 18 feet high, which managed to survive the puritan reformation of 1643. It’s worth a visit inside to see.

At the front of the church get the following clues:

The church gates were erected in ABB4.
C = the number of louvered arches to the top window of the towers west face.
D = the number of holes in the stocks.

To complete the clues you now need to head up the lane from the church to:

N 52° 07.2BD E 001° 21.CAC.

At this structure get the remaining clues:

E = the distance to Upper Ufford + the distance to Loudham
F = the distance to Campsea Ashe
G = the distance to Ipswich – the distance to Bromeswell

Then continue along the lane in a northerly direction and take the footpath into the meadows to the microcache at:

N 52° 07.EEF E 001° 21.FGB

In here you will find the coordinates to the final cache. You are looking for a 3l lunchbox containing a selection of goodies and a camera - please take a picture.
Enjoy your meander through the meadows!

We paid a quick visit to check on the cache and pick out a couple of geocoins. Dropped off another coin.

Parked up in Ufford village and in lovely sunny weather it then made for a very pleasant amble to pick up all the clues, before finally heading out into the water meadows to locate the cache. Nice position and a good hide, but found without problem. Used camera to take photo before placing East Anglian Rover coin; and took Smilie Trolley Dolly TB. TFTH.

After coffee and hot sausage roll, and a qiuck visit to another cache - logging on that one will have to wait untill later, we decided to try this one. Fab church, but not open to have a view of the font cover - maybe another time. Wondered if Tigerthumbs could fit in the stocks, especially after having a swing (might I add a girlie swing - "Theatrical circus swing" he says) at the last cache, but nope, he was having none of it. Clues found for part one, so off up the lane we traversed, back down the lane we walked and then back off up the lane we went again- mm I thought so too!!! At the second clue site, adopted by local dog - Lucy - until Tigerthumbs managed to rescue and return to rightful owner - thought process "He's too old for that dog" was mentioned by Tigerthumbs. However he did get his own back, when geo-trousers - fatally wounded at Deben Norgi Nox - decided to split in the wrong place - red faces were not only from the sunburn by now, so walking behind became a sport from now on. On to the last cache, did discover Tigerthumbs's hatred of Beef on the hoof - especially if that one has huge monstrous *&^%$£"!& great horns. So "little me" managed to scare Daisy away to get to the cache at last - tigerthumbs tail no longer visible. Photo taken (no.6) of Tigerthumbs junior and pal he managed to find in the cache. A great one to end the day on. Swapped swag, left Trolley token TB and geocoin and lightsticks - to scare Daisy later!!
TFTC. Off to place faithful Geotrousers on the wall of pride.

P.S. Today must go down in the diary as the day Tigerthumbs managed to find and stand in every single Cowpat in the Northern Hemisphere!!!
Your'e not getting in my car now.....

No real difficulties, despite writing down the wrong instructions and getting E = 11.25!

Very muddy, particularly after the micro. Worth adding a warning about this to the instructions?
