There is a nice marker on the trail near this cache (made of granite) marking an Eagle Scout Service Project which was completed here in 1982. I need to find out more info on what was done, but I’m sure the nice trails here were part of that project. Cache is only about 10-15 feet off the trail – nice sized PB jar awaits with room for geocoins and small trade items. Please rehide as found.
Maynard Spike Hoffman Park is a gem in River Falls. Alot of recreation opportunities here, including camping, skateboard park, baseball, soccer, ice skating, sledding, and much more.
The Boy Scout Mound park trails are a great place to walk any time of year (or cross-country ski in winter). Ample parking at the coordinates below. Big trees, scenic vistas, and interesting rocks can be found as well as some creative structures constructed by local scout troops. Enjoy the stroll and views along these trails.
