My caching buddies live all over the Bay Area. When we get together
to cache, we sometimes meet at park and ride lots. We have found
the 511 Rideshare
website quite useful in finding these park and ride lots.
When we went caching at Ed Levin County Park, we decided to meet
at the Milpitas Park and Ride lot at "Main St, under the Calaveras
Blvd overpass". As none of us were very familiar with the area, we
ended up taking a tour of Milpitas. GeoWomyn_SF_CA found a spot she
thought was the correct parking lot, got out of her cachemobile,
walked to the nearest corner, and stood there looking for the rest
of us. Fortunately we spotted her and we went for our hike.
The parking lot GeoWomyn_SF_CA found looked like a park and ride
lot, but didn't have any signs saying so. There also weren't any
signs on any of the major streets nearby pointing to a park and
ride lot.
A cache has been placed at this mystery park and ride lot so you
too can find it. (If this isn't the park and ride lot described in
the 511 Rideshare website, please enlighten me.)
The cache is a hockey puck sized container, which contains
logsheets, a short pencil, and some small trading items.
6/6/05 update - Original cache missing. Replaced cache with a
log only cache. Increased difficulty level and updated hint. Bring
your own pen.
