Oneonta TB B&B (and fishing)! Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

monet37: The owner has decided to raise this B&B. It did make it through the flood but it is not being used for what it was intended- a quick rest for TB’s. It has turned into the Bates Motel- “once you check in, you never check out.” I think a local muggle has started to collect TB’s and I apologize to all the owners who have had TB’s check in and not check out! The best I can do is raise this B&B before it happens to another TB.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This Travel Bug Bed and Breakfast is located in a public fishing access just off Exit 13 of I-88. Easy off and on- from East and West bound.

You can park within 40 feet of the cache- but plan your approach carefully.

REMEMBER THAT TRAVEL BUGS HAVE "GOALS" AND A PURPOSE! (well… some do!)

If a TB has a particular directional goal then DO NOT take that poor, hopeful bug and place it in another local cache, or worse-send it in the wrong direction!

Travel Bugs want to TRAVEL! Don't put TB's into obscure, out-of-the-way caches that are incredibly far off the highways and that only get a couple of cacher visits in a year! "Rescue" any TB's that you find in this predicament.

NEVER post the Travel Bug's tag number in your logs or up load any pictures of the tags that would reveal the TB number.

No swag, please- lets keep this strictly TBs and coins. Please try to trade evenly- We don’t want the B&B empty!

If a TB doesn't have an "info card" attached, consider not dropping it into any old cache until you get a chance to read the bugs purpose, online, at the TB's listing page.

If you pick up a TB without an info card, feel free to write down the goal (when you log the TB pickup online) and put that paper/info in a zip-loc bag along with the TB, or attached, when you drop it off in the next cache.

REMEMBER that you can "DISCOVER" a Travel Bug even if you don't want to remove one from the TB Hotel. Just make a note of the TB's tracking number and log it in at Geocaching.com as "DISCOVERED".
