****WARINING**** DO NOT attempt this cache wearing shorts and/or short sleeve shirts until fall. The mosquitos here resemble a Biblical plague. Be sure to bring lots of bug spray in the summer months. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! :) Camouflaged ammo can, very flat terrain, moderate woods with a very short trail. Owners of nearby house own this cache, so wave if you see us! The "skeeters" in these parts can be FIERCE! Bring lots of bug spray. Read the warning above again :) !!!
Welcome to the "LaFitte Arms Travel Bug Motel and Pen Drop" This is a very well camouflaged .30cal ammo can. Less than 50 feet from the road and less than 10 feet off the trail. Named after the famous (or in-famous) Captain Jean LaFitte who is said to have several undiscovered buried treasure caches in this area! Little more than a "drive-by" this is a good one for the whole family,(small kids may have some difficulty). If you have a digital camera, be sure to take a snapshot of your merry crew at the treasure trove and post it!
