Either the owner has returned or who was there was a squatter. I think his wife was there, too. Maybe she was a girl friend but she went out the back door when I got to the front door. That guy is a beady eyed kind of a Mickey Mouse type. I helped with flood repair last summer for 3 months and all the neighbors were nice but had a lot to do to rebuild. This guy allowed me to get the log as long as I was there. Wished him luck. TFTC.

Geocache Description:

This house like many other homes in Cedar Rapids was left cold and uninhabited. The owners ask that you not go inside but feel free to search outside. The cache is located on the Cedar River Trail .4 mile south of the Tait Cummins Sports Complex. Parking is available there with a short walk to the cache. Trail Hrs 6am - 10pm

Our goal here was to place a winter friendly cache with a short walk on a plowed trail with no brush or snow busting.

Permission to place a cache here was granted by DAS of the CR Parks Dept
