Geocache Description:

Prime Hook Wildlife area

Cedar Creek Hundred was created in 1702 as a geographic division in Sussex County. In colonial times Cedar Creek was home to many farms and mills because of the waterways, the best means of transportation, that flowed to the east and the Delaware Bay. All the mills are gone but the area is still home to many large farms.

This Delaware Wildlife area was established in 1958 from land given to the state by Draper Foods. The Drapers were one of the first families to settle in Cedar Creek Hundred.

Access to this cache is allowed on SUNDAYS ONLY from Sept 1 to Feb 15 each year.
