Cachekatinaw Traditional Cache
ObeliskAG: Cachekatinaw was placed before many of the current rules regarding geocaching. Due to the physical cache going missing and the logistical challenges to replace it, for now, this cache is going to the great ammo box in the sky. We had a good time and introduced many travelers to the ingenuity that built and sustained the Alaska Highway.

I often travel to North-Eastern British Columbia to visit family. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be any Geocaches in the region. So I thought I'd hide one, and see what happens!
This is a really easy cache to find - so easy to find that the original cache went missing so we're on to version 2. The idea is to check out the location - the geocache is just a bonus. The cache is a small canister-like object constructed from white and green 4" PVC fittings. The original contents are:
Bottle Opener, Canada Luggage Tag, Canada Tape Measure, Candle, Picture Frame, Playing Cards, Small Phillips Screwdriver, Small Flathead screwdriver, Tire Pressure Gauge, Toy Car.
There is also a log book and mechanical pencil. Please remember anything in this cache can be frozen to -40 in the winter.
It has been suggested that the cache container be placed upside-down to keep out the rain. It should be fairly weather resistant, but thanks for the feedback.
