Geocache Description:

Travel Bug Rest Stop....Outhouse variety but this outhouse is inside!

Well, a while back we sold the office building where we had housed (out front) the Travel Bug Office GCNXBO so I needed to move the cache on down the road so to speak. I found a real nice pole to mount it on in front of the Chamber of Commerce and went to ask them for permission. They said no I could not place the cache out by the road but they would love to have it inside! You see, they built a really neat new foyer in front of the building for visitors to stop by 24/7 and pick up info about Mount Pleasant and Titus County.

We have a real neat festival each May here in Mt. Pleasant and we call it the ‘Moonlight Jubilee’. We have all kinds of fun events over the weekend but the highlight is the world famous Outhouse Races! I don’t know who gets credit for putting wheels on a dadgum outhouse but it is one of the silliest, funniest and wackiest things you will ever witness. So….in keeping with the theme of the Outhouse Races we moved into the Chamber foyer…in other words, this is an indoor Outhouse.

This is a brand new outhouse built by our friend and neighbor Charlie and the outhouse has literally nothing in it to start except the log of course. It is quite the nice rest stop for Travel Bugs seeing the world. Please come drop some off for a visit. This is a very easy park and grab and if the Chamber office folks are around stick your head in and say Howdy. The friendliest people in Mt. Pleasant work at the Chamber. The front foyer is never locked and you can access this cache 24/7! It is ½ mile off of I-30 and you can spend a minute or a week enjoying our area. Hope it is the latter.
