"Hang Up and Run to Me" Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Pandemi: Sadly I am going to have to archive this cache after many years of service. It has become increasingly difficult to maintain and the area has changed somewhat which makes it hard to find appropriate hiding places now. Many thanks to Pieman for setting this up - great idea.

Geocache Description:

A line from an old Blondie song gives the inspiration for this. This is a short two-stage cache. I hope you'll particularly enjoy something that's a little different at the first stage…

Knutsford Heath was the site of the famous televised confrontation between Martin Bell and the Hamiltons during the 1997 election. Fortunately, it is a little quieter these days, with dog walkers and people practising their golf being the only hazards. The two stages of the cache are located in the woods at the back of the Heath. I’ve now averaged many readings over three days to get the co-ordinates, so hopefully you’ll find these pretty accurate, although the signal strength in the area is variable. There is easy parking along the side of the Heath or in Knutsford centre car parks. Stage 1 is hidden in tupperware inside a camo bag. Stage 1 is a micro with log book only. Nothing needs to be dismantled in the completing of this cache! Please rehide carefully. The best clue I can give is- pay close attention when performing the task at Stage 1!
