SWE: Mons Phaulius eller släta berg eller som man säger i Trollhättan,
slättbergen är mer än 570 miljoner år gamla.
Vatten, vind och inlandsisarna har eroderat bort alla sedimentlager
och frilagt det urberg som man här kan skåda.
Denna typ av berg finns bara på ett fåtal ställen i världen.
Slättbergen sträcker sig genom hela Trollhättan och det finns
utöver detta naturskyddsområde med urberg så finns två stycken till i
staden där man kan se berget i dagen, Erikso och Hjortmossen.
Naturvårdsområdet i Halvorstorp är till ytan 52 Hektar stort och det finns en del
leder som används av frisksportare.
Notera att man inte får framföra motorfordon på berghällarna,
vi skall vara rädda om detta unikum.
Cachen är en standard 35mm filmburk
ENG: Mons Phaulius or flat rocks or as we say in Trollhättan, Slättbergen are more than
570 million years old.
Water, wind and the Ice ages have eroded away all the sediment layers and revealed the
igneous rock layer which can be seen at this location.
These kind of rocks can only be sighted in a couple of places in the world.
Slättbergen extends throughout the whole Trollhättan and there are two more
nature preservation areas in the town, Eriksro and Hjortmossen where you can
see these rocks.
The area in Halvorstorp are about 0,52 square kilometers large and there are some
trails which is used for outdoor training.
Note that it is not allowed to drive motor vehicles on the rocks,
We must help preserve this unique place.
The cache is a standard 35mm filmcontainer.
