Smuggler's Cache

N50 48.299 W000 03.495

This Multi cache will take you for a circular walk around the historic smuggler's village of Rottingdean, East Sussex. It mostly avoids the High Street, so Muggles should not be a problem!

The cache is hidden in the nearby smuggler's lane in a camouflaged 1 litre food box.

Allow about two hours for this cache; there is a hill to climb. Accuracy on the day of placing was 7 metres.

Most of the clues cascade onto the next clue. The clues' answers will be a number and will fit into a given pattern, where the unwanted numerals are represented by stars, and the required numbers are represented by letters of the alphabet. Fit the numbers represented by the letters into other clues.

For Example: You discover that Fred was born in 1874. Substitute 1874 into the pattern *A*B and you find that A = 8 and B = 4. If the next clue requires you to go to N50 BA.299 W000 03.(B-1)95 then you would go to N50 48.299 W000 03.395
