OReviewer: This cache has been disabled for an excessive amount of time with no updates from the owner. As such, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Geocache Description:

Where am I? This particular spot is in THREE COUNTIES and TWO STATES ... How cool is that?

This cache is hidden in the Allegheny National Forest ... Or IS it? This spot is between Warren County, Mc Kean County, Cattaraugus County and is on the state line between New York and Pennsylvania. The Cache is hidden within arms length of Three different counties and two states! You can sit on the marker block (with the X on it) and you will be sitting in three counties and two states all at the same time!

There is a nice view of the Allegheny Reservoir, and Willow Bay, when there are no leaves on the trees. This is walking distance from the Willow Bay campgrounds. It IS an uphill walk to the cache.

The cache was small, but I re-place it with a bigger container on 2/19/05. It has a log, pen and many trades. The "Frodo and the One Ring" Travel Bug was moved to the "Brown Mountain Cache" also on 2/19/05. Please do not move the cache!

There is a small pull-off parking area on the Warren Co. side of the county line, on the reservoir side of the road.

Also, be sure to do my "Brown Mountain Cache" that is just up the hill from this one (check the topo and GPS for distance before you attempt it!).

The Tri County Cache is ONLY .35 miles off the road, BUT it takes about 40 minutes or more to go that third of a mile! My "Brown Mountain Cache" is a mare 1.46 miles from the "Tri County" (as you hike, not as the "crow flies") and yet that may take an hour and a half to two hours, ONE WAY from the Tri County Cache so plan accordingly!. THIS IS NOT AN EASY HIKE. The Tri County Cache, although just a third of a mile from the road (or less!) is not a "grab and go cache". My suggustion is to make a day of it, and do both cache's. There is also a cache up the road from where you would park for the Tri County and there are some more on the "Brown's Run" side, off "Wolf Run Road" in the ASP the other place to park for these cache's. To do these cache's together requires quite a climb in elevation, hence the difficulty ratings.
