How Geocaching Works
Located in the Hawkins Community Park. Not a far hike. Park anywhere in the park. If there are campers in the campground please respect their privacy and do not walk through their sites. Best time to search for this cache is in the fall when the leaves have turned as the colors are brilliant!
Cache is a grey duct taped container with screw off lid. Contains the following: Log book, pencils, bug repellent, bandaids, key chains, compass whistle, toys for the little geocahers, bobber and other trinkets. Watch for mugglers as the park is used throughout the year for weddings, reunions, ball games and there is a campground in the park. Labor day weekend is the annual Harvest Festival so it is filled with people. To the west of the park is a cleared out area that you can walk through but is closed to vehicle traffic because of new seeding. This cache can be found year round and is winter friendly but you may have to trudge through the snow. Check out the other geocaches in there area while you are in town.
