Geocache Description:

One of a series of 15 caches followed one Bonus Cache spread across the South Downs near The Long Man of Wilmington in East Sussex.

Each cache can be individually logged and one will provide you with the coordinates for the 16th Bonus Cache.

We were going to set this as a true trail, with each cache leading on to the next but, due to the overall length (approx. 9 miles), we decided against this so you can start from various access points. The recommended route is probably the shortest. When setting the series it us took about 4.5 hours on foot which included finding hiding spots, averaging and several rest stops.

During the walk you will have some spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and some excellent distant sea views. Make sure you take the time to look all around you on your trek.

All caches are hidden on or next to clearly marked and/or defined paths or tracks. There is no need to go leaping over any fences and wandering through areas that are fenced off.

The first 15 caches are all 35mm film containers with stash note, log book and pencil. It would still be best to take a pen or pencil with you just in case the cache pencil breaks.

Please ensure that all cache lids are securely replaced and that caches are re-hidden exactly as you found them.

Cachehounds are allowed throughout but there is often livestock around so be sure to keep them on a lead when appropriate.
