"In A Dark, Dark Wood" (as related to me when I was little by my cruel older siblings)
In a dark, dark wood, there was a dark, dark house
and in the dark, dark house there was a dark, dark basement
and in the dark, dark basement there was a dark, dark room
and in the dark, dark room there was a dark, dark closet
and in the dark, dark closet, there was a dark, dark box
and in the dark, dark box THERE WAS A GHOST!!!!!!
This cache has become available in the month of October to celebrate the autumn time and the ancient festival of Halloween.
The cache is placed near a circle of stones in the woods, reminisent of the stone circles left by the ancient Celts, one of the originators of many of the myths and legends surrounding Halloween.
When placed it contained a veritable treasure trove of autumnal delights, Halloween trinkets and at least one nasty surprise :-) . It has 2 Vampire Voodoo dolls, boy and girl, 2 Yankee Candle room spray air fresheners, 3 noisemaking keychains in the shape of a bat, ghost and owl, 2 huge pages of Halloween stickers, and a bottle opener in the shape of a skull. Most prized among the trinkets is a Halloween Geocoin which goes to the FTF. There is also a Geocoin/Travel Bug which has already been activated and has a mission to complete.
The only requests I have for this cache is that people walk through the woods before trying to find it, and also that you do your level best to enjoy Halloween this year!
