Geocache Description:

CITO event and a guided tour with a naturalist through this beautiful wildlife area. This CITO will concentrate on the upper bluff trail at Buzzard Ridge Wildlife Area. Keep an eye out for a second CITO event for the lower valley trail at a later date.

This CITO event will begin at 8:30 am at the parking lot/meeting location that is detailed in the waypoints.

We will have a half hour or so to CITO the parking and adjoining area before being joined by a Naturalist from the Jackson County Conservation Board (Jess Wagner), who will be our tour guide through the Buzzard Ridge Wildlife Area. The CITO will continue during the tour and we will also be accompanied by a small group of muggles who are interested in the tour/hike. The tour/hike is not a requirement to log an attended for the CITO event but will add to the fun. The tour hike will be 2-3 miles depending on everyone's interest, so make sure you bring the water/refreshments and the proper hiking gear you might need.

Small details.

Trash bags and the haul off will be provided.
Bring your own snacks and refreshments that you will need, if you join in on the hike tour. (Some edible plants will be discovered along the hike tour.)

Info. from the JCCB.

The Naturalist from JCCB will be bringing their loaner GPS units for any newbie cachers who might want to try their hand at geocaching.
