Here is a nearly unknown public scenic trail, owned/maintained by the Civil War Preservation Trust, located in central Dinwiddie County. Park by the side of the road at the trail head-crosswalk painted on the road.(37 09.093/077 32.850). Be careful of ditch. Ask yourself "why is there a crosswalk here?". You'll see. There are residences opposite the park. Please do not park near any mailboxes. I have not visited the section on the residential side, but it's there. Theres enough room to safely park an SUV 6" off the pavement. After you locate the cache, continue on the trail and it will loop you back around to the half-way point. Cache is now, a 50 cal. ammo can, as the poly container was taking on water. Update: Actually there is a parking area for this trail, 500 feet West of the listed trailhead coords, at the intersection of White Oak Rd. and Claiborne Rd. This is where the interprative trail actually begins. Sorry I never noticed this when I placed the cache. This is why the crosswalk is painted on White Oak Rd. Park here for the entire trail, or park by listed trailhead coords for a shorter walk to the cache.
