How Geocaching Works
Alder Falls is located south of Big Bay and Lake Independance.
The trail to Alder Falls starts at N 46* 46.905 W 87* 42.281 and winds its way to the bottom of the main falls. Cross Alder Creek and follow it upstream for a number of smaller falls before coming to the cache site.
Although we’ve never come upon anyone camping here under the pines, there is certainly evidence that people do and lots of room. Exercise caution on the trails and on the slippery rocks, supervise kids, practice CITO… you know the drill.
Cache is an ammo box with the standard geocaching trinkets.
