The cache container is a medium size Lock-n-Lock. A writing instrument is always useful, this cache can be found along the upper trail to Goat Lake. Medium Gruff appears to be needing some water and has approached a cascade of cool mountain water.
We all know the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff, well what you don't know is that the Gruff brothers after crossing the bridge to greener pastures ended up at Goat Lake right here in beautiful Washington.
This cache is part of a series of caches called "The Billy Goat Gruff Series". The Series has four caches Little Gruff, Medium Gruff, Big Gruff, and "Mr. Troll". Each of the Gruff brothers has a clue in the cache that will be needed to find the fourth bonus cache "Mr. Troll".
To find "Mr. Troll" you will need to find all three brothers record the clue and then build the coordinates for the bonus cache. You will be hiking both the upper and lower trails to Goat Lake in order to find all three Gruff brothers. Depending how you combine the trails to and from the lake you will hike 8 to 10 miles. Do not worry the hike is beautiful and there are no trolls hiding along any of the creek crossings required to hike to Goat Lake.
