Come celebrate all the adventures, milestones, and fun that 2006 brought to us!
Let's celebrate 2006 by having a pot-luck supper and some winter fun! The event is centered around Hodgkins School in Augusta, and there is lots to do in the area. Augusta has been blessed with a lot of new caches in 2006 (something to celebrate) and this might be a good chance to find some of them.
Next to the school is the Augusta Nature Park which is a great place for snowshoeing, cross country skiing and there's even a cache in the woods! Within half a mile of the school is one of the best sliding hills for families with a rink and playground next to it.
You didn't know Augusta could be so much fun, did you?
At the school we'll have a children's cache, banners up so you can add your memories of 2006, hot chocolate to warm the bones, a coin and TB trading table and some fun games. Bring pictures, videos, display, etc! You name it... Let's celebrate!
A pot-luck supper will be at 4:30. I live very close to the school. We can keep things warm in the stove while we play. Crockpot food, salads, desserts, are all welcome, along with the people to eat it.
I've booked the school from 2:00-6:00. A schedule of events will be posted as the event gets closer. We can always start the fun and games early if the weather is beaconing us to get out and play. There's an alternate date of January 28th booked just in case we get blasted with a storm! Wouldn't that be great a day or two before the event?
