A small plastic box, located along route 8 along the right side of an old schoolhouse-church-like building in Speculator NY. in the Southern Adirondacks.
This cache is a small round plastic box with a blue cover on it. It's a quick cache and great for those who are traveling a ways. It is located on the right side of the History Museum. This building is clearly marked. Do not search behind this building. There is no place to park on the side of the road, so please find a public building near the cache to park. There is a nice sidewalk along the road to the historical building. The building is white with green trim and a green metal roof with large windows on the side. The cache is hanging on a hook. You might have to twist the hook, to take it off. When you tade an object from this cache, we ask that the trading item is in the color of BLUE.
History:
This building was built in 1894 as the first Town Hall of Lake Pleasant. In 1937 the town library was added inside. By the 1960's a new Town Hall was built and the building was only used as a library until 2002 when a new library was formed. This building will soon become a museum.
