Geocache Description:

Seth Low Pierrepont State Park has a hiking trail that's not too steep. You will see an island where the cache is located. On the south side you will see a fallen tree that is pointing roughly NE. A light blue plastic box about the size of a shoe box lies tucked underneath the base of this tree. It is covered with leaves and bark because the first one got stolen.

I replaced the cache on 29 June 2002. It is stocked with two CDs containing Red Hat Linux v.7.0 for Dad, and some puppy magnets, audio tapes, stickers and other trinkets for the kids.

The decimal coordinates are: 41.32257°N, 73.50623°W

Getting to this cache is either very easy or very difficult, so the rating is a little misleading. When I placed it on 18-Feb-01 at 3:30 p.m., it was very easy. To get an idea of what's involved, read Matthew 14:25 or refer to a precise mapping program.
