Large lock-n-lock container with lots of SWAG for trade, a log book and pencil. The cache is located on the opposite side of the street from the Arlington Sportsplex Park.
Parking is on the Sportplex side of the street and after a nice, yet not too long of a walk down the path, you cross the street and search for the cache about 15+/- feet from the road.
For EARTH DAY, April 22, 2011, our Girl Scout Troop participated in several EARTH DAY related activities, one which was putting together a geocache and then hiding it for fellow cachers to find. Each girl brought a piece of SWAG to place in the cache and we passed the empty container around until it was full to the brim. We assembled the cache at a park in Arlington with a GREAT playground and 2 caches already in play, so we had to find another area to hide our cache. We noticed that the Arlington Sportsplex has a nice walking trail and lots of sports fields. We also found out that another GIRL SCOUT cache is nearby! What FUN!
There is a mini traffic cone labeled FTF for the FIRST TO FIND! There are also 2 travel bugs in the cache for the FTF to move along or leave for someone else.
One of the initial travel bugs is "THE HEART OF THE SOUTH LOVES JULIETTE LOW" whose mission is to travel to at least 10 other caches and make it to Savannah, GA by October 31 to celebrate Juliette Low's birthday. Juliette Low is the founder of GIRL SCOUTS of the USA and was born in Savannah, GA.
GPS recordings were within 16ft of ground zero. That's as close as I could get using my Garmin and my iPhone geocaching app.
Please replace the natural camoflage to conceal the container.
