This is a kettle that was filled in with field stone so the ground is rocky but not to bad to cross.
This is a Kettle caused by a receding glacier that left a chunk of ice behind that was covered by sediment. The ice subsequently melted leaving this small depression. This one was then filled in by local farmers with field stone. This is the smallest on this property where the other two are big enough to fit three houses in, however they are now swampy at the bottom. If you would like to know more of Kettles look up the Kettle Moraine state forest website.
This Cache is on private property and permission was given by owner to place it here. Please pull in off the road onto the small grass covered driveway but do not go more than a few car links down drive. The kettle is right on the road and small drive way.
Even after a race to be the first to sign the log I still give FTF to RickBlick & Chick because family doesn't count haha.
