Sam's Solar System is a combination geocaching and second grade science fair project. The project is described in each of the (other) caches in the series, which are linked below. We thought that we'd have a little extra reward for those brave souls who found all of the planets and dwarf planets in our model solar system.
To get this cache, first find and log each of the 11 caches in Sam's Solar System. On the inside cover of the logbook of each of the caches you'll find a six digit number. Add up all of the six digit numbers that you found. If the sum turns out to have more than six digits, then ignore the most significant digits, and only use the 1's through 100,000's places. The top three digits of this number are the fractional minutes of latitude and the bottom three are the fractional minutes of longitude for this cache.
For example, if the 11 numbers added up to 12,345,678, you'd ignore the leading "12" and use 345 for the fractional minutes of latitude and 678 for the fractional minutes of longitude, giving coordinates of 47 28.345 121 58.678.
It's a logging requirement for this cache personally to have found, signed the log books and posted "found" logs for the other caches in Sam's Solar System. Coming along with a friend or trading info with someone else doesn't count.
The 5 terrain rating is because of having to do the other caches, which will require well over 100 miles of driving. Just this cache has a terrain rating of 2.5. The access to this cache is from the West Tiger Road in Tiger Mountain State Forest. We came in from the Tiger Mountain Summit parking area.
