Picnic and chat at Hadleigh Castle

A chance to meet up with other cachers for a chat over a picnic.

Come along any time between 12pm and 3pm, bring a picnic if you want to, chat with other cachers, swap trackables and explore the local area - various cache types around the castle and country park, a rare breeds centre and a tea room, what more could you want?

I was feeling very pleased to have found a weekend when my friends up north would be free to get together camping. Then I realised that it clashed with the event that I was planning to attend to earn my Social Cacher souvenir. I searched through every event in the UK for August and couldn't find any that would be happening anywhere near the various places I was planning to be  So the only answer was to create my own event and hope that some other cachers will come and join me so that I don't feel like a complete numpty.

Many thanks to Scarecrow Rog for letting me set this up on his turf. There is a large open space for picnicing, and for children to run around. There is a handy car park, tea rooms and toilets all provided by the Salvation Army, plus the Rare Breeds Centre to visit. And there are lots of caches around, including several different types for the various souvenirs available this month.

So bring a picnic and blanket, and we hope to see you there. We'll bring a box for swapping trackables too.
