This road starts south in Martensdale and continues north through
Norwalk. This section of road is still available from where Highway
28 extended straight out of Norwalk and on up to Army Post Road. In
the vicinity 1995, this portion of Highway 28 was realigned when
the Des Moines
International Airport needed to expand and also build a new
interchange when Highway 5 was built through. This section of the
old Highway 28 still exits today, as well as a little bit north of
Highway 5.
To many a geocachers, this area may be familiar for a reason known
to them.
Will BLOODLUST scale two 8 foot high fences and dodge Highway 5
traffic to get here?
Will The NVG drive around trying to find this place? (some genius
of navigation he is)
We shall soon see as we see who will be the first to find.
Happy Hunting!
