Welcome to Mableton! Traditional Geocache

A park-and-grab cache as you enter the wonderful unincorporated wonderland known as Mableton!

Team Zentria has made Mableton its home base since 2002 and cleared the area of unfound caches within a five-mile radius two years ago. And now it's time for us to give back to our sport by adding our own geocaches across Mableton.

For those unfamiliar with Mableton, this is the largest unincorporated community in Georgia, with a population (according to the 2010 census) of 37,115. It was named for Robert Mable, who bought 300 acres of land here on Sept. 11, 1843. The Southern Railway opened a railroad station here in December 1881. A post office followed the next year. Mableton was actually an official town starting in 1912 but disincorporated four years later.

The historic Mable House and plantation is located nearby on Floyd Road, as well as a great amphitheatre. A great place to live for sure ... and to geocache! 

With this and all of our recent hides: Be careful and respectful. Find safe parking. While our caches of late could be found within a couple hours of caching, this is not designed as any sort of power trail. Cache on!
