The Kings Highway Bridge "Usta B", here crossing the Nansemond River to the town of Driver. The drawbridge was built in 1928 and carried traffic for 75 years. In March of 2005, VDOT deemed the bridge unsafe and closed it to traffic. It was demolished in 2007. It is now about a 15 mile detour to get from here to Driver. Have fun and be careful out there!!
