This is a 2-stage multi-cache located on The Bowdoinham River Walk hiking trail listed on www.healthymainewalks.org.
Parking is available at N 44º00.463 W 069º53.751. This is a public boat launch and picnic area on the Cathance River. On Sunday nights, there is live musical entertainment at the open-air stage. Enjoy the show if you're there on a summer Sunday evening! Waterfront picnic tables and toilet facilities are available. Park is open dawn to dusk.
The single trail begins across route 24 from the waterfront park. The trail head is about 100 feet in from the road on the right hand side of the gravel covered area, past the yellow building. This will take you to a picturesque point on the Cathance River. The trail is a grassy roadway approximately 1/2 mile long and marked with the Healthy Maine Walks trail signs. Please note, stay on marked path while in the oak grove. This segment is on private property, and to continue use, we need to be mindful of the owners request. Thank you.
BEFORE you leave the waterfront park, be SURE to check out the monument at the flag pole. Also, get the miles to Portland, by rail, from the markers near the open-air stage. Now your quest shall begin....
