This is a multi-stage micro-hunt that covers a large area and I am leaving how many stages there are up to you.
Long Description:

“Somebody answer the phone!”
The phone rings. You don’t want to answer. You know who it is and that it means trouble. It rings again. He is just going to ask you for more favors. To send you on some wild errand to some back woods locale. It rings again. You trick yourself: “Maybe he wants to pay me the money he owes me”. You answer.
It was Trixie; she is a different flavor of trouble. She was crying. She was worried about Nick. “He always told me I could trust you. That if I was in trouble and couldn’t find him that I could call you”. Then she turned on the charm, “I hope you don’t mind”. You could imagine her dark teary eyes through the phone.
She told you that Nick was ‘sposed’ to meet her for drinks last night. That he had more ‘work’ for her. He never showed and it’s not like him not to show. He is always late but always shows. She wants you to find him. He must owe her money too.
You go to his office. Trixie is there, outside, waiting for you. With some memory jogging you remembered where he hides a spare key. All you find of any importance is a note on his desk: N 41 57.881 W 088 14.213
Trixie tells you that she wants to go with you. That she can help find Nick. You tell her that you will call her if you learn anything. That she should not go. She gave you a look like she is about to cry and against your better judgment you take her with you.

Master Plan Game pieces
Ok, when I was out here location scouting there were MANY people in the area doing various hobbies. The largest group were walking/playing with their dogs. The next largest were flying model aircrafts. The next largest were horse back riding. The smallest group was geo-ing. Me.
This cache area is large. About .6 miles from first stage to the last.
The above co-ordinates are a good place to park: N 41 57. 876 W 088 14.200
Be careful, there are stumps under some of the grass. Also, where there could be horses there could be horse droppings.
There is a huge dog exercise field here.
