WeBeDnD: Since PEZtacular view was also in need of maintenance my mission was to check on all of my caches on this trail yesterday afternoon. This cache was the first. Just as the log previous to mine indicated, I indeed found this cache dislocated. In the decon container was the remains of the 'logbook.' It consisted of only the logbook covers and the spiral binding. The pages were gone. What is up with that?! So this cache will be archived. But the mystery does not end with this cache. I could not find ANY of my caches on this trail yesterday. I could not find PEZtacular view, but I did find a few remnants of it's shattered lid. I could not find Come Again. I could not find And Again. I could not find See Clearly, but I did find the smashed remnants of the cache lid in the cairn where the cache had been hidden. I could not find Going Postal. I gathered up what remnants I did find, and headed back to the Byxbee Park parking lot. I would have checked on the other caches that I recall are out here, but I only had my own cache waypoints loaded into my gps, and I could not remember the locations of the other caches or if they were still active. Upon arrival back at the parking lot, I used the trash can to discard my cache lid shards. Lo and behold, on the pavement next to the trash can was the camo lid to the Going Postal cache! Disgusted with the whole experience, I threw that in the trash can too. I' even more disgusted to admit that I dug in the trash can to see if any of my caches or cache remains were in there - they were not. I'm not sure what to make of this whole thing. Certainly, what is on my mind is not suitable for posting here. [:(!]
