Celebrate 15 Years of Geocaching!

May 2nd and 3rd signal the beginning of geocaching, some 15 years ago. On May 2, 2000, GPS signals were descrambled, increasing the accuracy of GPS devices worldwide by ten times. The following day, what would become known as the first geocache was hidden.

Celebrate 15 Years of Geocaching with us at this event. At over 571 feet tall, the world's tallest monument is the most monumental place in Texas! In the shadow of this historic monument you’ll earn a new digital souvenir for your geocaching profile and another smiley on your find count.

Bring your travel bugs and geocoins to trade, share, and discover. Forgot you had one from long ago? Feeling guilty about having had some too long? Bring them to this event to get them moving again with our Travel Bug Amensty Program! Drop them off - no questions asked. This is a great place for a photo of the trackables, too.
