Den 4 December 1962 hölls det första konstituerande mötet för Ljungby Brukshundklubb. Ordförande, tillika en av initiativtagarna var Harry Wallin. Officiellt bildades klubben året därpå 1963. Verksamheten startade på Näs gård, vid Skinnarna. 1977 fick klubben erbjudande att arrendera Tofta Norregård, vilket fortfarande är klubbens säte och där träningar och kursverksamhet bedrivs. Klubben har genom åren bedrivit en bred utbildning av hundar och dess förare. Ljungby Brukshundklubb har i dag 2009 ca 170 medlemmar.

Alla hundar behöver aktiviteter oavsett väder och vind.
Man kan aktivera sin hund på många olika sätt. I bland räcker det att passivitetsträna dvs träna på att hunden går ner i varv fast det finns andra hundar omkring som stojjar och leker. Vi hjälper gärna till oavsett vad du och din hund vill aktivera er inom i den mån vi kan så klart.
Tisdagar klockan 18,00 och Lördagar klockan 10,00 är alla medlemmar välkomna upp till klubben. Då tränar vi hund, pratar hund och köper en fika till självkostnadspris för den som vill.
Oftast finns det en instruktör eller hundkunnig person att fråga vid dessa tillfällen.

On the 4th of december 1962 the first meeting for "Ljungby brukshundsklubb" was held. The chairman, and at the same time initiator for the club was Harry Wallin. Officially, the dog club was founded the yeat after, 1963 and started at "Näs gård". 1977 the club received an offer to rent "Tofta Norregård" and since then it is the club's home and where all training and course activity is held. The club has during the years offered a wide selection of courses for the dogs and their owners. The club has, for the year 2009, approx. 170 members.

All dogs needs to attend activities even if the weather is bad.
You can activate your dog in many ways. Sometimes passive training can be enough, i.e. train the dog to rest a bit even if there are other dogs playing around nearby. We gladly help when you want to train your dog in the amount of time you want.
Tuesdays, at 18:00 and saturdays at 10:00 all members are welcome up to the club. At those times we train dogs, talk about dogs and you can purchase some food to eat.
At most time there is an instructor or a person with good knowledge in dogs ready to help you on those occasions.
