Geocache Description:

On March 9 2005 I flipped my car while driving back from finding the Pigpen & Licklog Falls Cache. As I hung upside-down, suspended by my seatbelt, I thought of what could have been. I crawled out of the driver's side window without a scratch knowing that I was incredibly lucky. I hadn't told my wife I was planning on caching that day; had I been injured who knows how long it would have been before I was discovered...

I am placing this cache to remind me of my irresponsible caching and incredible stupidity. (And it is my 200th hide!)

Even though I was probably in a state of shock, I still remembered to waypoint the car. And I also introduced the SC State Trooper who responded to my emergency call to geocaching; he has since opened an account on geocaching.com.

Off of SC 107 take Village Creek to Nicholson Ford. Then follow your GPSr to the crash site. At the above coordinates you should be able to see signs of my accident. As this is an offset cache you should then look for an ammo can hidden just off of the road on National Forest property. It should be about 70 feet away at a bearing of 115° in a pile of rapidly decomposing cellulose. (It used to be the intersection of two fallen trees.)

CACHE RESPONSIBLY!
