A puzzle cache for music lovers. This is part 2. Part 1 is Musical Trinity 1. The caches are independent - you may complete either or both.
The cache is not at the posted coordinates
Musical Trinity 2 - The second in a series of caches based on the confluence of music, CDs and geocaches. To find the cache, you will first need to acquire the CD key to the puzzle. The CD contains some great music you will need to listen to in order to solve the puzzle.
I will attempt to keep a CD or two in the following caches:
The Geography Club
Silver Silo
Be sure to listen to the music in order. The CD contains perhaps the most diverse collection of music you will ever hear. The one commonality is that they are some of my personal favorites gathered over 40 years of listening.
Each of the 21 tracks falls into one of the following 21 genres:
African (°)
Alternative Rock (1)
Baroque (1)
British Isles / Celtic (9)
Country (4)
Easy Listening (8)
Electronic (0)
German (N)
Gregorian Chant / Cistercian Chant (6)
Heavy Metal (.)
Highland Pipes and Drums (°)
Incan / Andean (2)
Mariachi (6)
Middle Eastern (.)
Native American (W)
New Age (1)
Popular (5)
Progressive Rock (4)
Renaissance (4)
Trance (1)
Tyrolean (4)
As you work on the puzzle, be sure to pay attention to when the track number changes, signaling the start of a new genre.
The above information should get you started. If you need help please feel free to contact me through the profile page.
My mom, who listened exclusively to classical music, told me that I have a "tin ear" since I enjoy such a wide range of music. Perhaps, but I truly love all of these selections (even the country song, with some effort). I would be interested to know what you think. In your log, feel free to list the music you particularly like or dislike (by genre). Also, email me for identification of any of the artists/songs.
When you have completed solving the puzzle, please return the CD to a cache in the northeast part of Salt Lake.
Enjoy the music and the caching!
Note: There were originally two CDs for this puzzle. If you happen across one of the old 2-CD sets, the puzzle will still work. There are still 21 tracks on the 2 CDs - just be sure to listen to them in order.
