Geocache Description:

It’s so dark in here. I can’t see a thing. Wait a minute! I heard an ump cry “OUT!” But just now somebody sang out “14-Love.” I’m so confused. Help me. I’m “Lost in Seattle.” Please visit me.

Originally named Lincoln Park by the City Council in 1901, Bobby Morris Playfield was one of the first playgrounds to be developed in Seattle (1908). In 1922, the Park Board renamed it "Broadway Playfield" after the main street and neighborhood school to avoid confusion with a new major park acquired in West Seattle which was to be named Lincoln. In 1980, the playfield was re-named Bobby Morris, a beloved Capitol Hill coach and who also served as King County Auditor for many years. In 2003, the entire site was named, "Cal Anderson Park" after the state legislator from this area. The Playfield retains its name. There is major construction in the North part of the Park.

Please stay:
* South of N 47° 37.0’
* North of N 47° 36.9’
* East of W 122° 19.2’
* West of W 122° 19.1’

The main coordinates listed are the middle of a street. Nothing of significance is there. Feel free to visit but why waste your time – which is better spent searching for the following:

A. Number from the lid in “Spring Tuit.”

B. Number enclosed in “Freeway Park Cache.”

C. Four-digit number found on a stone marker at the base of 3 flagpoles in front of a historic landmark in the heart of Seattle’s Financial District. It marks the initial site of another historic institution that has recently endured some scandals. www.google.com will be of help. These are the flags.

D. Four-digit number found on City of Seattle brass disk located across the street from the four sandstone pillars that originally stood at the entrance to the Plymouth Congregational Church. The church was in the way of the I-5 construction. The pillars were moved to this park in 1967. Look at the view. BTW, the view will be improved by construction beginning this summer. That’s why you are across the street staring at this benchmark. There are only two sidewalks that are truly “across the street” from the pillars. Again, www.google.com will help locate this. These are the four columns you want.

Now for some calculations:

E. = A – 1

F. = Last two digits of D plus first two digits of D minus 2 (keep it as a two digit number)

G. = Last two digits of C minus the first two digits of C. Put a leading ‘.0’ in front.

H. = First two digits of D. Put a leading ‘.0’ in front.

The base way point is located at:
N 47° 36.9EB
W 122° 19.1F

You need to add or subtract H and G from the way point.

That should give you eight possible locations to search. Ignore any locations that may be outside of the boundaries set above. Note that H and G could go with either the latitude or longitude. However, H goes with one and G with the other.

Hurry, the cache is lonely and wants a visit from you! Now, don’t you feel better visiting with such a nice friend? Better log you entry so the cache can read about it later when the nights get long and the days are cold.

You can walk to all of the cache points in 2-3 hours (faster if you can run uphill)!
