Please note that this is a 24 mile round-trip hike into the backcountry. Go prepared with bear spray, water filter, extra socks and please be safe.
This cache is hidden at about 7200 feet and surrounded by gorgeous views. There's plenty of water for filtering along the entire way. You may have trouble following the trail for the last mile or so, despite what any other sources may tell you. The cache is hidden in a 1-liter Nalgene bottle with a geocaching.com sticker on it.
The original cache contents include a $20 REI gift card as a first-finders prize.

Please cover the cache back up so it can't be seen, just as it was. More people than
you'd probably guess come to this area.
Expect some unexpected drift at the site. Despite that there shouldn't be any problem
finding it unless there's much snow, which will cause trouble.
NOTE: Be sure to log your name and date of visit to the cache log. We will delete
any online logs that do not have a corresponding entry in the cache logbook. This is
to discourage "cheaters". Please work this one out on your own without help from others. This should be half the fun! For your online log to count, be sure you email us the time of day we've written on the cover of the logbook. Thanks!
