Geocache Description:

You simply won't believe what was once here and is STILL here but a landslide buried it in the mid 70's. It was built in 1911 and its use ended in the late 40's.

This is located at one of my favorite and mystical spots. There was something here half a century ago that is still here, but you can not see it, and you will not disturb it in any way. The terrain is pretty easy. You'll only have to climb about 10 feet to get to the area. The area the cache is located in is absolutely flat (which facilitated what was once there) and about 20 feet square. The cache is right off the side of the road... about 20-30 yards. If heading towards Canyon, it's on the right side of the road.

The cache is a tupperware container clear with a white lid.

A few important things.

1) The tree cover here made it very difficult for me to pin-point the exact location. I took 10 readings, and averaged them. The range was 50.390 to 50.405 and 10.969 to 10.979. If you get to this general area, look for a relatively flat area north-west of the creek.

2) There have been some reports of poison oak, but it's easy to avoid in this area.

3) If/when you find the cache, I wrote a page about the spot with a few pictures of what was once visible there (it's still there!). If you're at all like me, you'll be fascinated by this spot and you'll be amazed at how well mother nature can take over something.

Like what you see here? Check out my other cache with the initials TMBAB (If I tell you the name, it will give away what is here).
