Woodard Bay Traditional Cache
Moun10Bike: Nevermind; this cache turns out to be too close to a waypoint in a nearby multi. We are not permitted by Groundspeak to unarchive caches that don't currently meet the guidelines, and this one does not due to proximity.

Woodard Bay became a major player in the logging industry when Weyerhaeuser Timber Company needed a way to get logs from the forests in Thurston and Lewis counties to its mills in Everett. Weyerhaeuser built a private railroad running from the forests to Woodard Bay, where logs were unloaded, sorted, and rafted up to Everett. As much as 1 million board feet of timber arrived at Woodard Bay daily. The crews moved a BILLION board feet through here between 1928 and 1984. This is a DNR area. Protected Habitat Area. Walking only, no bikes, no pets, sorry! Good news, paved road from parking area to bay.
