Since everyone seems to be enjoying these events, it looks like they are going to continue as regular monthly events!
The concept of a laid-back event with an opportunity to get some food and chat with fellow friends and geocachers will continue.
This month we are shifting to a Thursday so we can celebrate Geocaching's entry into Earth orbit.
On November 6th at 10:08 p.m. CST (November 7th at 04:08 a.m. GMT), Astronaut Rick Mastracchio is scheduled to embark on a mission to the International Space Station brining along a Travel Bug and visiting the geocache located in space. Geocaching HQ will issue a “Geocaching in Space” souvenir to every geocacher who attends a Geocaching Event on November 6th or 7th, 2013.
Our Meet and Greet will be Thursday, 7 November, 6:00 - 7:30 PM. Because it's a workday, we will be starting 30 minutes later than normal to allow for travel.

I hope you'll be able to come out and join us for food and fellowship. Don't worry if you have to come late or leave early. This special event is designed to celebrate geocaching and the spirit of adventure. Seasoned cachers and those brand new to the sport are equally welcome.
