Geocache Description:

This must be one of the smallest religious buildings in Wales.

The tiny chapel is passed by hundreds of people every year, yet few of them notice the low wall, and what lies behind it.

The chapel was built back in AD 546 by St Trillo. At the time, it seems that this location was an island. The chapel's doors are open to the public from time to time, and if you go in you can see the well. This is supposed to be a sources of fresh water, but considering its location we'd would be surprised. However we didn't do the vital "taste and tell" test to check it out. You may want to! We hope the water is well good!

WE found it a very peaceful and tranquil place on a sunny spring day. But it might be different in a mid-winter storm! You can read more about St Trillo at
(visit link)

The local college - Llandrillo - is named after this holy man of old.

The cache is a small camouflaged plastic box. It contains quite a few goodies, but don't bring anything big or it won't fit.
