A small metal mints container in Shell, Ecuador
The Nate Saint house in Shell, Ecuador serves as offices for the Mission Aviation Fellowship´s sister organization, Alas de Socorro and as a sort of memorial to the five missionaries that gave their lives 55 years ago tomorrow on 8 January 1956. These heros of the faith were attempting to make friendly contact with the Huaorani people, at that time a primative and fierce group. Google Nate Saint or Jim Elliott to learn more about the tragedy that proved, over the course of time, to be the means by which biblical teachings reached this group. The Nate Saint house contains some artifacts from the time that the Saint family occupied it. If you call ahead to the Mission Aviation Fellowship they are more than happy to provide you a tour. There was no cost for the tour. The house was recently restored and is in great shape. My family was deeply moved by what we saw there today..
The cache container is NOT on the grounds of the MAF facility. You DO NOT have to go inside the fence to find it. There is parking within about 15 feet of the cache. Please take care for muggles visiting the house or standing around outside the hanger.
La Casa de Nate Saint en Shell, Ecuador es el lugar de las oficinas de Alas de Socoro y sirve como un museo que ensena sobre los cinco misioneros que entregaron sus vidas hace 55 años mañana, el 8 de Enero de 1956. Estuvieron atentando hacer contacto con el tribu feroz Huaoranil. Atraves de Google usted puede leer mas sobre esa tragedia que despues se mostro como la clave para llevar las enseñanzas biblicas a esta gente. Contiene la casa artifactos de aquel tiempo y historia. Se llame al Mission Aviation Fellowship de antimano, ellos estan dispuestos a guiarles por la casa y explicar lo que es la casa y su restauracion. No se cobra por el tour. Fue muy impactante para mi familia verla.
El cache no esta dentro el terreno de Alas de Socorro. No tienen que entrar. Se puede estacionar dentro de 15 pie del cache. Tengan cuidado de los muggles que pueden estar a su alrededor.
