When I was in California at GeoWoodstock VI last May, I found Supergeofish's cache called "2008---A Year of FTFs" (GC1872B). His inspiration was Trakd's "7 Days of FTFs".
I promised to bring this clever idea to the East Coast.
MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS AND PLACE YOUR LOG IN THE
CORRECT PLACE !!!
How many times have you seen a cache listing pop up, only to be frustrated when somebody beats you to the FTF ? It's worse when the same person (Behistun ?) keeps one step ahead of you ! Well, now you can stay at home in your robe and slippers with a nice, hot cup of tea, and still
have a chance for an FTF !
Here's how it works: There will be 7 FTFs ! If you find the cache on a Thursday, there is a special Thursday page in the log for you to sign. If you come on Sunday, please sign on the Sunday page. So, you could be the twelfth person to find the cache, but the first one to find it on a Tuesday; you are therefore the Tuesday FTF ! I will publish the list once the all 7 have been accounted for.
After that, the cache becomes a normal cache, and you log
it as you would any cache, EXCEPT you still sign it on the day you find it.
In any case, please indicate in your computer log the day you found it.
In California, they're crazy (!) and there was a spirited competition to be FTF, even extending to people converging on the spot at midnight ! Read the logs for more details.
