Frightful Fred's Face!

How Geocaching Works
Cedar Lakes Conservation. Roadside parking! Park right in front of the Cedar Lakes Conservation sign. Snow Alert...there's no room to park in front of the sign!
Please be careful since you are right in the middle of the hill. If you are caching by yourself, pass on this one until you can park safely. If you have someone with you, drop them off while you find a safe spot to park.
Many many years ago, my dad's neighbor (Fred) was walking home 3 miles from a local establishment. It was around midnight and Fred was wearing dark colors. As a car was driving down the hill and Fred was walking up the hill in the road, the driver of the car never saw Fred and he was gone in a flash. Fred's soul remains haunting this area since his life was taken too early. Fred will try to fright you and he will definitely haunt you while hunting his cache. Fred was always a jokester, teasing my dad who's name also happens to be Fred, over the years they were neighbors. So that we can all learn from Frightful Fred: Always designate a designated driver, don't wear dark colors and never walk up the middle of the road in the middle of the night!
A big thanks to the Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation for opening up this piece of land to the public.
Since this area is brand new, watch out for the barbed wire as you approach ground zero.
