Wadna Reservoir, also known as Emerald Lake, Bihu and Wolong Lake.
!!!!!The cache is an easy PNG cache, which means you can just Park your car and Grab the cache easily. But it seems the coordinates are not very accurate. SORRY! Please remember that you don't have to climb up or down or go to any danger place searching the cache.!!!!
The Beautiful Wanda Reservoir was built in 1956 and provides the functions of reservoir and moderating Sun Moon Lake. It reserves water during the rainy season and flows water to Sun Moon Lake during the drought season for generating electricity.
The reservoir was supposed to have a storage capacity of 150 million cubic meters of water. But the capacity is now undercut by 50 percent by the stones and sand brought from the mountain areas. The sediment and sludge continue accelerating every year since the Sept. 21 earthquake in 1999.
The nearby Wanda power station is famous of it's beautiful cherry blossoms during winter and early spring but is now closed for tourists because of bridge construction.
The cache box contained a pen, a log book, a key ring, Beautiful Mosaic Gecko GC and Duckling TB. The cache site is a parking area.
